Sweet Legacy by Tera Lynn Childs

The stunning conclusion of Tera Lynn Childs's Greek mythology–based Sweet Venom trilogy is perfect for teen fans of Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series.
The girls cannot hesitate as they seek the location of the lost door between the realms, even as monsters and the gods of Olympus descend on San Francisco in battle-ready droves.
Greer must use her second sight to step up and prevent anything from stopping her sisters' mission, even though a god is playing with her mind. Grace wants to trust her adopted brother, Thane; but will his secret put the girls in even more danger? And Gretchen has trained her sisters to stop the monsters, but her role as a huntress comes with more responsibility than she ever imagined. What will the girls' immortal legacy be? Three teenage descendants of Medusa must unite to restore balance to the world in this action-packed series with plenty of romance.

Once again Terra Lynn Childs has blown me away with the third installment of the Sweet Venom series, Sweet Legacy. When I first started reading this series I was hooked from the first chapter. I’d never really had a book that was so good that I didn’t even need a whole lot of romance in it to keep me interested. And when there were cute parts, I loved those just as much as the three sisters being all badass and fighting mythical monsters.

That was another thing that totally drew me into this book--the mythology part of it. I have always been a big fan of Greek mythology. In this third installment there was a fair share of mythological creatures as the sisters battled to get their lives back in order. All these girls are so unique and have come into their own over the course of the series that I feel like I know them personally. Whether it was their funny inner monologue, sibling talks or their teamwork, they have been my overall favorite family in any series.

Action has been a key part of the books, especially the second and third books. This one definitely kept me on my toes, just like the second one did. Of course, I have to mention the dreamy boys that have been nicely placed in this series too because I mean come on...what’s a great book if we don’t get to talk about the hot boys? Not only were they hot, but they also added extra drama to the story with the girls trying to figure them all out and their secrets as the book goes along. And added layer for some extra depth.

If you’re wanting an awesome and fast-paced book with a great triplet team, hot boys and scary creature than you should read this trilogy. I can truly say these books are one of my favorite series out of all the ones I’ve read. Childs did an amazing job with the writing, characters and plot, giving you an array of everything, and I must give her a hand. Take my word for it and get this series, you won’t be disappointed.

  1. I think I read Sweet Venom - I remember not being a fan though. I love anything Greek/Roman/Norse/Egyptian/etc. mythology-related, so I thought I would love the book (and series). I haven't read any of her other books after that. BUT, I am super glad that you liked this book, Amanda! I'm glad that you're recommending this series - it didn't work out for me, but that's okay! Great review! :)
