The Whizz Pop Chocolate Shop by Kate Saunders

Welcome to the most magical house in London.
Oz and Lily's family have inherited it, together with the mysterious shop downstairs. Long ago, its famous chocolate-makers were clever sorcerers. Now evil villains are hunting the secret of their greatest recipe. The terrifying power of this magic chocolate could destroy the world.
The children are swept into a thrilling battle, helped by an invisible cat, a talking rat and the ghost of an elephant.

The Whizz Pop Chocolate Shop is a magical and adventuresome story. I am a fan of Ms. Saunders' previous books and I liked this book just as much, if not more. The story is exciting and funny which is a great combination for kids. I liked that the story is set in London, that there is lots and lots of talk of chocolate, and the fact that there is a good guy, a bad guy, and a thrilling battle that keeps the reader engaged. I recommend the book for boys and girls 9-12. Thank you to Random House Kids for this very enjoyable book!

This book hits shelves March of 2013!

Happy reading!
