Book on the Hot Spot (4) Makeover edition!

Welcome to our fourth Book on the Hot Spot! Yes, this post is usually supposed to happen on Friday but we had major problems uploading this vlog to Youtube and I worked the David Sedaris event at our State Theater in Minneapolis selling his books for The Bookcase last night. It was an amazing event but it stretched late into the night and alas, there was no time to upload the video then either! We do have a video though, and this time we're featuring Beauty by Lauren Conrad! It's a really fun book and in the video we share some of our favorite information we learned from Lauren!

And now, what you've all been waiting for I'm sure, enter our giveaway to win Dualed by Elsie Chapman and a MYSTERY ARC! Oooo!

Happy reading!

P.S. Stay tuned next week! We've got two more of our reviewers featured in next week's vlog! Visit the Meet The Youth Board tab to get an idea of who it might be!

  1. I don't mind makeup, but I never find time to do makeup. *shrugs* Kinda indifferent to it. LOL

    1. That's like me! Most days I don't wear anything but mascara maybe, and every once in awhile I'll throw on some eyeliner, but that's about it!

  2. Hmmm. I really like light shades for concealer and sometimes I'll use powder too. That's about it though, as I'm either allergic to or unfamiliar with most makeup stuff.

Cute video though & thanks for the giveaway! :)

    1. Thanks, Kristi! We are very unfamiliar too as you must have noticed... My friend is allergic to most makeup as well, but I heard from her that Clinique works best! :)

    1. What about hair! Do you like to do cool updos? We wish we were better at them...

    2. Well, I have pretty short hair and I usually only wear ponytails or straighten my hair on special occasions...I'm a farm girl ;D

  5. I have super dark brown eyes and like invisible eye lashes and brows, so my only "must do" make-up is mascara and brow pencil.

  6. I don't wear makeup, but I have to have a healthy layer of chapstick on my lips at all times. I hate having dry lips.

    1. Oh that's so like us! Amanda carries one around in her pocket at all times. I'm not always that prepared.

  8. Mascara is an essential makeup item... and, for me, although it is not makeup, nail polishes! I have lots of them! Now I've even bought some Monster High and awesome nail polishes, with very nice colors indeed! It seems impossible for me not to buy nice nail polishes when I see them =]

    1. Nail polishes are so great! I love them especially in the fall when you can wear blacks and dark purples and dark reds. Maybe for a giveaway we'll match up a nail polish to a book...hmmm...
